  going to offer the FluMist vaccine.
• The vaccination clinics ran from October
  2008-January 2009

Challenges

• Working with public school system
• Worked with private schools
• Offered vaccine to child care centers
• Collaborated with Boys Girls Clubs
• Large amounts of paperwork
• Have homeroom teachers name on permission forms
• Color code forms for each school

• Send listing of students to physician offices

Useful Tips

• Involve nursing students in project
• Possible recruit high school Health Occupation
  students to assist with clinics
• Offer incentives for returning permission forms
• Free dress down day (no uniforms)
• Drawing for a prize
• Class with most returned forms gets a pizza party
• Have activities for students involving vaccines
  and/or hand washing, etc
