That the PEC appoint an impartial task force
that will be charged with systematically and
critically examining all aspects of our
provincial administration ministries including
PEC, boards agencies their relationships with
local congregations. Resolution 55
4Guiding Task Force Principle
- realize our MCSP potential, thereby making our
ministries more available and active by improving
communication, polity, unity and community
building, and discover how we might better
organize ourselves for the service of Christ
5Healthy Congregations
- Task Force proposal is grounded in the concept of
healthy congregations. - Healthy congregations create a healthy province.
6Healthy Congregation Characteristics
- Focus on a relationship with Christ, personally
as a congregation bringing the individual
congregation into a greater harmony with God
through Jesus Christ with a new sense of faith,
love hope. - Mission focusing outward locally, nationally,
globally to remember, seek out, serve our
neighbors. - Growth increasing membership attendance
through an intentional process. - Leadership ensuring wise direction,
administration, accountability for the
community.
7Healthy Congregation Characteristics
- Worship proclaiming Gods Word through
scripture, preaching, music, sacrament. - Cooperation bringing church members into
greater harmony with one another to build
community. - Stewardship using individual corporate time,
talent treasure effectively. - Ministry learning growing as individuals
community to care for ourselves serve others.
