7Information Technology Services Provided at USM
are Extensive
- The typical doctoral/research institution, can be
thought of as a small citythe Univercitya
city that is involved in businesses of all
kindsfrom teaching to libraries to sports to
research to construction, etc. - Consequently, the iTech infrastructure for USM is
more extensive, costly, and requires significant
resources to effectively manage and maintain.
iTech is integrated and managed in a hybrid
centralized/decentralized manner.
