  • Whatever your speech is about you have to set the
    context so that the audience understands where
    this fits into the larger picture
  • Fact
  • Does not necessarily have to be a figure or
    percentage
  • Should be attention grabbing

  • Where do you start you speech? Core message,
    story, fact, or context
  • It is a personal choice
  • Start in a conversation mode
  • Work the speech off of your own conversation
    style
  • Talk to the audience like you are having a
    conversation with them, not like you are reading
    a speech to them
  • Ums and likes and you know what Im saying is
    not that important
  • Most important is that you are in conversation
    mode, talking about the things that you are
    passionate about and the message will be heard
    clearly
