Underage Drinking Awareness and Prevention
  • Research supports that when parents, teachers and
    others in their community collaborate on
    initiatives that address underage drinking, kids
    are less likely to partake in this dangerous and
    unhealthy choice.

What Happened
  • The UDAP planned 2 headline events (Sept. 2008
    and April 2009) with CAPA and Orange Schools PTAs
    featuring six days and evenings filled with
    multiple programs for students and adults.
  • Affiliates conducted alcohol prevention and
    awareness programming that included co-occurring
    disorders, book clubs, discussion blogs, student
    acted mock-car crashes, and graduation/prom
    alcohol awareness and parent hosting programs.
