A Good Book

• I asked Mrs. Weight and Mrs. Anderson if they
  could think of a good book. They suggested
  Thanksgiving Day by Gail Gibbons.

What should we look for in the book?

• Lets look at our KWL chart. What do we already
  know about Thanksgiving?
• What do we want to learn about Thanksgiving?
• Lets take a picture walk through the book.

What information did you find in the book?

• Talk with a partner about some of the things you
  learned from the book.
• Lets use Inspiration to help write our ideas.

Now what do we need to do?

• We will need to put our ideas in the correct
  order.
• Think carefully, what happened first? What
  happened next? Where should we put the other
  information?

What are we going to do with our ideas?

• Mrs. Youngblud asked us to use our computer to
  make a presentation.
• What program can we use to display the
  information we found?

We can use KidPix to make a presentation.

• We will work in groups of three to make pictures
  for the presentation. We will work for several
  days.
• Each person in the group will have a special
  job.
• -One person will tell what the slide is about.
• -One person will choose the background for the
  slide.
• -One person will choose the stamps you will use
  in the slide.
• We will put all of the pictures together to make
  a slide show for the Pre-k class.

I will look for

• Your explanation includes two pieces of
  information from the class web.
• The information is in the correct order.
• You used pictures that explain your two pieces of
  information.

When the project is done

• Miss Johnson will put all of your slides
  together.
• We will watch the slide show.
• We will show the slide show to Mrs. Spearbecks
  Pre-K class.
