- Call attention to peoples mistakes indirectly
- Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing
the other person - Ask questions instead of giving direct orders
- Let the other person save face

up to - Use encouragement

you suggest

23Seven Deadly Sins - Pacelli
Disorganization
Arrogance
Indecisiveness
Cowardice
Stubbornness
Negativism
Untrustworthiness
24Seven Deadly Sins - Pacelli
- Sin 1 - Arrogance - thinking you know more
than the rest unwilling to listen to opposing
views. A confident leader shows respect for
others ideas and suggestions, an arrogant person
does not. - Sin 2 - Indecisiveness - changing course of
action with a valid reason. A decisive leader
listens to others and makes the best decision,
explains the reason and sticks to it until
conditions change that warrant a change. - Sin 3 - Disorganization - asking for the
information multiple times. Writes things down
and plans sufficiently in advance.
Disorganization creates unneeded stress and
frustration for others and yourself. - Sin 4 - Stubbornness - refusing to alter plans
when necessary or when there are good reasons for
doing so. Critically ask yourself if there is a
good reason for your way rather than the other
options or will they also work. Decisiveness
without listening or being able to convince
others your option is the best is simply
stubbornness. - Sin 5 - Negativism - discussing the negative
aspects of the project or activity and not the
positive aspects. A negative attitude can
decrease the teams energy, enthusiasm, and
passion. Begin with the positives and then
discuss the negatives. - Sin 6 - Cowardice - blaming other team members
or variables that cannot be controlled. Review
what could be done to overcome the obstacles
rather than placing blame. Admits your mistakes
and learns from them. - Sin 7 - Untrustworthiness not showing the
necessary skills, explaining your decisions, or
demonstrating integrity. Think logically about
why your decisions are sound and explain your
reasoning to your team, put the team's interests
ahead of your own.

organization will look like in the future,
communicates the picture, and recognizes
members/employees contributions for making parts
of the picture reality. Good when organization
is re-organizing, taking on new members, has low
motivation, or after a tragedy. - Relating Creates and maintains good
relationships among members. Good when there are
conflicts between different factions - Coaching Develops members potential in line
