1
Looking forward to a paw-some year!
Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten!
  • Mrs. Gilchrist
  • PK-3

2
  • Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten! I am happy to be
working with you and your child! I look forward
to the new and exciting school year!

3
Arrival
  • School begins at 740.
  • After 740, your child will be counted tardy and
must obtain a tardy slip in the office.
  • Please drop your child off in the cafeteria
before the 740 bell. (First week, you can bring
    them to the room.)
  • You will need to sign in if you wish to enter the
    school.

4
Departure
  • Bell rings at 240. If you have not picked your
child up by 300, then they will ride a shuttle
over to the daycare at Primary.
  • Car riders can be picked up in the cafeteria when
the bell rings to dismiss school. (First week,
come to the room for p/up.)
  • Please do not enter the school before the bell
rings unless you have signed your child out in
    the office.
  • If you plan to pick up your child and he or she
is normally a bus rider, please call, send a
    note, or e-mail me.

be excused. Call-ins are no longer accepted as
    an excuse.
  • Put the date(s) your child was out legal name.
  • If you have had your child at the doctor plan
on sending him/her to school, please bring the
    doctors excuse.
  • Students receive awards for perfect attendance.

More Attendance Info
  • If your child is absent due to a death in the
immediate family, the state now requires either
the obituary or documentation from the funeral
for the absence to be excused.
  • If your child will be out due to a religious
holiday (documentation from church needed) or
family event, the principal will excuse up to 2
days. But you MUST get approval from principal
beforehand. (See p.13 of Parent Handbook)

may send a snack for your child to eat in the
