6Participant inclusion criteria
- Not residing within the Northern Division of
General Practice area or rural areas - Vietnam veteran
- Chronic condition
- Alcohol Usage Disorders Identification Test
(A.U.D.I.T.) Score of 8 or above
7Exclusion criteria
- Cognitive impairment or physical or psychiatric
distress which would prohibit informed consent or
inability to cooperate with the clinical and
research process

- Randomised clinical trial
- 140 - 160 participants required
- Repeated outcome measures, ie at

- 3, 6, and 9
