23- Netprog related stuff
- SUF uses RMI - Java version of RPCs.
- Has it's own FTP client (We found out the hard
way that you HAVE to end ftp commands with \r\n!) - Java servlets - generate dynamic web pages for
the SUF interface - Distributed computing - system programmers can
perform part of their jobs from any machine that
has a web browser. - Lots of security issues! Customers want to be
sure their data is secure!
24- Want a job?
- We're looking for Java programmers (must have
gotten 100s on all Netprog projects...) - I get 2000 if I recommend you and they hire you!
(So send me those resumes!!) - In all seriousness, if you're interested, send me
an email at scomerfo_at_us.ibm.com. They are looking
to add skilled Java developers to the project and
you would get a change to be exposed to some
leading edge Java stuff.
