8Magnifier
- Magnifier creates a separate window that displays
a magnified portion of your screen. You can also
change the color scheme of the magnification
window for easier visibility. You can move or
resize the Magnifier window, or drag it to the
edge of the screen and lock it into place.
Magnifier is intended to provide a minimum level
of functionality for users with slight visual
impairments.

10Opening Magnifier
- To open Magnifier, click Start, point to All
Programs, point to Accessories, point to
Accessibility, and then click Magnifier. - To open Magnifier using the keyboard, press
CTRLESC, press R, type magnify, and then press
ENTER.
11Narrator
- Narrator is a text-to-speech utility for users
who are blind or have impaired vision. Narrator
reads what is displayed on your screen the
contents of the active window, menu options, or
the text you have typed.

13On-Screen Keyboard
- On-Screen Keyboard is a utility that displays a
virtual keyboard on the screen and allows users
with mobility impairments to type data using a
pointing device or joystick. On-Screen Keyboard
is intended to provide a minimum level of
functionality for users with mobility impairments.

16Change the Size of the Icons on the Toolbar
Go to Tool on your menu bar. Scroll down to
Customize. Click on Options Tab. Click on
Large Icons. Click on the Close button. The
size of the icons will automatically enlarge.
17Zoom Feature
This feature allows you to magnify your document
up to 500, keeping your text at a standard font
size such as 10 or 12. You can view it with
visual ease while it prints out at the default
print size.

Go to Tools on the menu bar. Click on Speech and
get Language Bar. Type your word(s),
sentence(s), or paragraph(s). Highlight and
click on Speak Text button on the Language Bar.

Click on the Tools button on the Language
Bar. Click on the Advanced Speech button Click
on the Text To Speech Tab. Make selections and
click on Apply button. Click on OK button.
21Speech Recognition - Requirements
- To use speech recognition, you need the
following hardware and software components - A high-quality close-talk (headset) microphone. A
Universal Serial Bus (USB) microphone is
recommended. - A 400 megahertz (MHz) or faster computer with
128 megabytes (MB) of memory. - Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.
- The speech recognition engine must be installed.
It is available with Microsoft Office XP, but
might not have been installed.
