Project related tasks

• Dependencies to other WP force an early
  definition of interfaces.
• Sharing of Metadata IPR situation has to be
  cleared.
• Sharing of content needs business models that
  allow users a more flexible and less restrictive
  handling of content while meeting the demands of
  the IPR owner.

Two DRM solutions (1)

• A Light-Weighted DRM system for popular
  multimedia content
• Content will be bound to the users personal
  digital signature, additionally digital
  watermarks can be included in the content
• No further restrictions - Content may be
  transfered to favorite portable devices e.g. car
  stereo
• Users who conduct mass sharing of content will be
  found and cut-off from further activities
• First developments at Fraunhofer ISS, now
  continued at IDMT

• Alternative approach for the purchase of rather
  new or unknown music
• Providers allow re-distribution by customers
• Users may listen to music freely
• Only bought content can be re-distributed
• Music of rather unknown artists will be promoted
  and advertised
• System called Potato-System developed by
  4FriendsOnly.com
