• The Barka Sport Association for Social
  Integration exists for 2 years already. It was
  created by people who are passionate about sport
  and also amateurs engaged in activities on behalf
  of social integration. Among the successful
  achievements of the team playing under the
  Association's patronage are
• participation of six contestants in the Polish
  representation of street soccer,
• participation in the team of the World Cup in
  Graz (Austria) where they won the 12th place, in
  Gotenburg (Sweden) where they won the 3rd place
  and in Edinburg (Scotland) where, under the
  leadership of the coach Artur Hyzyk, they won the
  title of World vice-championship for the
  first time in the history of adult soccer the
  Polish representation achieved such a big success.

Presently, the Association increased its
structure by four successive sections, inviting
all the people interested in active forms of time
spending to the following sections . soccer
section . sailing section . tourism section .
fishing section The objective of these sections
is to integrate the greatest number of active
people by running integration, cultural and
educational meetings. It is our wish that
everyone may find a place in our Association
independently of his/her passions and whatever
their hobby may be.

SOCCER SECTION The main objective of the soccer
section is wide dissemination of soccer
development in diverse environments. Sport and
tourism are understood as factors of integration
and growth of the society. This section is
intended to the preparation and care for the
Polish representation of the street soccer,
preparation and running educational activities
for the integration of the beneficiaries of the
project Social Economy in Practice and also
organization of diverse types of tournaments and
sport competitions, mainly teamed up. This
section cooperates with other Associations
sections and other non-governmental
organizations.

SOCCER COMPETITIONS During the last times the
Association organized the Street Soccer
Competition for the cup of the Barka Foundations
Chairman with the participation of women street
soccer team for the first time. The second street
soccer competition was organized by the occasion
of the inauguration of the school year in the
Center of Social Integration in Poznan. The
Associations soccer section aims at organizing
cyclically diverse types of competitions. Twice a
week it runs training open for all the people
interested in this form of activity and free time
spending. This section has also plans to open
sub-sections for other team games.

THE STREET SOCCER WORLD CUP IN GOTENBURG
2004 The soccer section participated in the
preparation of the Polish representation for the
Street Soccer World Cup of the homeless in
Gotenburg, Sweden. The team was composed by three
contestants from our Association. During this
tournament the Polish representation won the
third place.

THE STREET SOCCER WORLD CUP IN EDINBURG 2005 The
soccer section participated in the preparation of
the Polish representation for the Street Soccer
World Cup of the homeless in Edinburg,
Scotland. The team was composed by five
contestants, members of our Association. In these
World Cup the Polish team won the second place
and the title of WORLD CUP VICE-CHAMPIONS. The
Association also plans to create the Polish
league of street soccer and build a net of sport
fields in diverse Centers in the whole Poland.

SAILING SECTION The main aim of the sailing
section is a wide dissemination of the
development of aquatic sport in diverse
environments. Sport and tourism are understood as
elements of societies integration and
development. This section will deal with the
preparation and implementation of educational and
integration activities for the beneficiaries of
the project Social Economy in Practice and also
organization of diverse types of sailing cruises,
travels by canoes and other aquatic events. This
section closely cooperates with other
Associations sections as well as with other
non-governmental organizations.

SAILING CRUISES The sailing section has yachts
in two centers in Poland and will organize
diverse types of educational and recreation
cruises for the members of the Association and
also for the beneficiaries of the project Social
Economy in Practice. The cruises are taking
place at the Kierskie lake near Poznan, where the
Associations sailing center has its seat and
also at Niegocinskie lake on Mazury. Travels by
canoes are planned on many rivers around Poland.
The diversity of our rivers guarantees
attractiveness of such events.

SAILING COURSES The sailing section will
organize a series of courses such as course of
yacht sailor, course of yacht helmsman and many
others. We are also planning to organize cyclical
courses of swimming for children and adult
persons. The objective of these courses is to
increase the skills among the beneficiaries of
the project Social Economy in Practice, what
will enable them participation in cruises and
facilitate social integration. The Association
cooperates in this area with representatives of
the Polish Sailing Union.

TOURIST SECTION The main objective of the
tourist section is wide promotion of active forms
of recreation and of a healthy life style. The
Association will organize excursions throughout
Poland, camps, tours and other sport and
recreation events. The main addressees of this
sections activities will be the beneficiaries of
the project Social Economy in Practice. This
section will also organize cyclical presentations
on tourism, countrys sightseeing and also
environmental protection.

FISHING SECTION The main objective of the
fishing section is wide promotion of active forms
of rest at lake sides, integration through
recreation (camping in bivouacs) and
dissemination of environmental protection
activities. The Association will organize
sightseeing excursions, camps, tours and other
sport and recreation events. The main addressees
of these activities will be the beneficiaries of
the project Social Economy in Practice. This
section will also organize cyclical presentations
on fishing and environmental protection.

• In the framework of the project Social Economy
  in Practice the Association acts in the
  following areas
• implementation of the program of social economy
  development in the Poznan county through creation
  of groups and organization of training of
  projects beneficiaries in Clubs of Social
  Animation,
• 2. implementation of the program of social
  economy development in the Poznan county through
  support to non-formal education, creation of
  groups and organization of training of projects
  beneficiaries in the framework of the School of
  Social Animation,
• 3. creation of social cooperatives and their
  unions as well as creation of legal and financial
  conditions for their functioning, in the
  framework of activities connected to elaboration
  and implementation of new forms of professional
  activation for socially excluded groups through
  implementation of the program of professional
  activation in the area of the Poznan county.
