Mission Statement We are a group of individuals

provide information and resources and share ideas
to help meet the many needs of the Senior Adult
population throughout the State of
Texas. Recognizing the multitude of issues facing
the elderly in regards to nutrition, health,
transportation, social needs, and so much more,
as a unified group of concerned individuals WE
CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Background The Texas Association of Aging
Programs work year-round with other organizations
to provide factual information and programs to
the seniors in Texas and is operated exclusively
for charitable and educational purposes. The
organization promotes the professional
development of its members by providing
opportunities for training and the exchange of
information. TAAP was formed in April of 1999
when the Texas Association of Senior Centers and
the Texas Association of Nutrition and Aging
Service Programs, Inc. merged to better serve the
needs of members and to enhance the quality of
services offered to older Texans.
