Grant Application Process
  • Bay Area WDB solicited bids, for which N.E.W.
    Curative responded
  • Acquainted our agencys mission with that of the
    DPN. Our Mission is To assist people in
    achieving their goals for independence.
  • Specializes in employment-related programs for
    individuals with disabilities.

We got the grant, now what?
  • The navigator we were looking for needed to be
  • Self-directed, flexible, self-confident,
    resourceful, assertive, focused
  • Technical background of serving individuals with
    disabilities
  • Ideally, would complement supervisors background

DPN was hired, now what?
  • In order to develop the strategy of the
    Navigator project, we decided to tap into each of
    our strengths, both professional and personal
    (i.e. personality, character)!!!
  • 1 Priority Establish the DPNs place in
    the system!
