What is HUGS Youth Foundation?
  • HUGS is a 5-year old non-profit organization that
    was formed to help children of North Pacific
    County.

Mission Statement of HUGS Youth Foundation
  • To promote the health, education and social
    enrichment activities for the children of the
    greater Willapa Bay area of Pacific County,
    Washington.

Other Fund raising
  • In 2005 HUGS assisted P.O.O.L. in a community
    wide fund raising project to raise 7,500 for
    operating the local pool over the summer.

Where does funding for HUGS projects come from?
  • HUGS board members write grants for the majority
    of funding for projects.
  • Letters to local citizens and businesses
    requesting funds for specific projects.

How is the money spent?
  • All grant money received goes directly into the
    current project.
  • All donations go toward a specified project or
    into general fund for other much-needed smaller
    projects or mini-grants.

  • WH Youth Football - 150 Scholarships for
    players/cheerleaders
  • WH Wrestling Warriors - 100 awards/equipment

Are there any administration costs?
  • NO. All money goes into the projects. There are
    no salaries or employee costs. Everyone in HUGS
    is a volunteer.
  • All supplies, postage, copying and time is
    donated by HUGS board members.
