What is this fun stuff?
Integrality is the interconnectedness of ideas
and thoughts regarding movement that transcends
the boundaries of subject areas (D.M. 2009)
If you do not teach children to read . . . are
you negligent? So what is the deal with
movement?
5How do you get a movement vocabulary?
Absolute-connectedness
Food processor
Everything connected . . . Does not express
Integrality
Doing and observing movement
How do you improve your math or reading
vocabulary?
Education through the Physical is everywhere and
the skills you learn from it you apply to other
aspects of your life
6Movement vocabulary is everywhere!
We are not teaching them to bump . . . we are
teaching them quantity and quality of movement
You dont have to be an expert to understand
movement
Vocabulary comprehension!
You need to FEEL the movement
Education through the Physical does not have to
related specifically to personal skill!!
What does bird migration and soccer have in
common?
7What do you wish for the children you teach to
learn for the rest of their lives?
