programs primary activity consisting of - Volunteer Florida requires at least one volunteer
recruitment performance measure
3Literacy AmeriCorps Palm Beach County Performance
Measures Childrens Literacy (Output) Members
will provide literacy enrichment activities for
at least 300 preschool and elementary school
children as documented by Tutoring and Reading
Session Logs completed by members recording
student identification, age/grade levels and
attendance information. Childrens Literacy
(Intermediate Outcome) Children receiving
services from members will demonstrate more
positive reading behaviors and attitudes. At
least 50 of children served will demonstrate
more positive reading behaviors and attitudes as
measured by surveys and/or the Quarterly Skills
Checklist. Childrens Literacy (End Outcome)
Children receiving services from members will
improve reading skills. At least 75 of children
tutored for at least 30 hours will score at least
20 percent higher on the LEARNS Literacy
Assessment Profile or the Early Literacy
Preschool Assessment.
4 New programs are required to submit monthly

2005-06 (End Outcome) Members will provide
after school academic tutoring and homework
assistance resulting in at least 80 showing
improved academic achievement in the areas of
reading, language arts, ESOL or mathematics as
documented and evidenced by improved report card
grades and/or other documentation of improvement
such as test results, written reports from
parents, teachers or other responsible adults.
