  • Gold (third highest exporter in Africa),
    phosphates, kaolin, salt, limestone (can be used
    to make Portland cement), uranium, gypsum,
    granite.
  • Oil (expected to start exports in 2008),
    bauxite, iron ore, manganese, tin, and copper
    deposits are known but not yet exploited.
  • Shea nuts (for shea butter), mango,
    vegetables, etc.
