What is Digital Challenge?

• A competition set by DCLG (Department for
  Communities and Local Government) in Dec 2005 and
  open to all 350 local authorities to win a
  single pot of funding.
• The core aim of Sunderlands Digital
  Challenge Bid was to improve social inclusion
  through digital inclusion and work towards
  improving the life of the all citizens at all
  levels.
• As winners we will promote inclusion by provide
  a range of ICT based products and services. We
  will also act as the National Exemplar.

• Held National IT in the Community Conference
• Hosted dissemination visits from DC10plus network
• Ministerial Visit Baroness Andrews
