4Turning on the Digital Camera
- Push in and slide green power button to the
right. - Release button.
- Wait for screen to turn on.

5Taking Pictures
- Make sure the mode button is switched to the type
of disk you will use. - (MS for memory stick, FD for floppy disk.)
- Make sure the lens cap is off.
- Depress the button on the front of the camera
partially until the green circle in the middle
top of the screen stops flashing. - Fully press the button on the front of the
camera. - Hold button until the camera says Recording.

6Using the Cameras Menus
- If there is no menu at the bottom of the screen,
push the up direction on the menu button. - Use the menu button on the camera to navigate
around the menus. - When you find the menu item you want, push the
center of the menu button.

- What the important menus do
- File Menu
- Image Size Sets the size of the image. 640x480
is around ¾ths of most computer screens. The
larger the size of the image, the fewer images
you can store on disk. If you plan on printing
the image, it is a good idea to use the highest
image size (1472x1104). - Disk Tool Use Format to erase a disk.
- Camera Menu
- Flash Level Sets the brightness of the flash.

8Ejecting a Floppy Disk from the Camera
- Slide the tab in the middle of the eject button
to the left. - Slide the eject button down.
- Release the eject button.

- Plug the USB cable into the computer.

- Plug the USB cable into the camera.
11Saving Pictures to a Computer(from a memory
stick)
- Plug the camera into the USB port on your
computer. - Double click on My Computer on the desktop.
- Double click on the Removable Disk icon.
- Double click the DCIM folder, then on the
100MSDCF folder. - Select the pictures you wish to copy.
- Select Copy in the Edit menu.
- Open up the folder where you want your pictures
to go. - Select Paste from the edit menu.

- Insert your disk into the computer.
- Double click My Computer on the desktop.
- Double click the 3½ Floppy icon.
- Select any pictures you wish to copy.
- Select Copy in the Edit menu.
- Open up the folder where you want your pictures
to go. - Select Paste from the edit menu.
13Using Pictures in PowerPoint
- In the Insert menu, choose Picture then then
choose From File. - If your files are saved on your account click
the drive list and choose your account ID. - If your files are saved on a disk select the 3½
floppy from the drive list. - If your files are saved on the memory stick of a
camera select Removable Disk from the drive
list. - Open the DCIM then the 100MSDCF folder.
- Select your picture and click insert.

14Digital Camera Etiquette
- Erase the files off the memory stick when you are
finished with them. - Be careful when opening the covers to charge the
battery or connect to a computer. - Make sure the power and USB outlets on the camera
are covered. - Make sure that you do not bend the connectors
when removing the USB or power cables. - Charge the battery.
