- In today's fast-paced and hectic world, it is
challenging to find chapter volunteers. - This session will give you ideas on finding
motivated volunteers, and once you have found
them, how to keep them!
4Past Presidents
- Do you know where your past presidents are?
- Advantages of keeping them engaged
- Know all BOD positions
- Know chapter members
- Know other people in their industry who are
possible volunteers - Know other professionals in your area
5Company Coordinators
- They are already engaged and have shown interest
in the chapter. - They have knowledge of prospective BOD members
within their company. - They have connections within a large network
- You can involve them at events to help with small
tasks like registration, greeting people, or
administering meeting evaluations.

recruit new blood for your chapter - Also ask each BOD member to recruit his or her
successor during the year

- Split BOD position tasks into smaller monthly or
quarterly tasks - Ask several members to do only ONE task for the
chapter this next year - Get lots of people involved and motivated
- Encourage group collaboration

- Have BOD members sit at different tables at all
events - Their task is to get one person at each table
engaged in talking about APICS and volunteering - Solicit input from members

- Recognize BOD members for contributions
- Special recognition at all events
