Step 1-You Will Need
  • A copy of your business checklist. This is
    available from your advisor.
  • A copy of your transcripts which are available
    from Eaglenet.
  • A copy of the Graduation Application. This is
    downloadable as an excell document.

Step 2- Identification
  • Name as you want it to appear on your diploma
  • Quarter of completion
  • Local Address
  • Major(s)
  • Minor(s)

Step 3 Proficiencies
  • English
  • Math

The English and Math Proficiency may be met in
a variety of ways. Please examine your
Business Checklist to determine the classes you
have taken to satisfy these requirements.

Step 4 Lower Core
  • Individual course grades need to be a 2.0 or
    better.
  • If you have transfer work for a lower core
    class-see step 6.

The 200 level courses are taught at Cheney,
the 300 level courses are at Riverpoint. Please
be specific with the course you completed.

Step 5 Upper Core
  • Individual course grades need to be a 2.0 or
    better.
  • If you have transfer work for an upper core
    class-see step 6.

Step 6 Transfer Work
  • List transfer courses taken and grade.
  • Note what class they are substituting for.
  • The format is
  • their course
  • our course or
  • their course for
  • our course.

Equivalencies are noted on your Business
Checklist.

Transfer Work Continued
  • Please note that the classes you took at a
    previous institution may have different numbers
    than those listed here. Please review your
    Business Checklist for correct numbers.
  • If ACCT 101/102/105 was taken before Summer 2000
    at SCC, then all three courses need to be taken
    in order to equal both 251/252.

Step 7 - Majors
What you will need to know about various
majors
Please note that these are examples and that you
will not necessarily have the same electives.

Accounting
  • List major requirements in numerical order with
    your elective(s) listed last.

Finance
  • Finance major
  • Automatic minor
  • Other minors

General Mgmt./HR Mgmt.
  • For a second business major, dont list the core
    classes again. Just list the required and
    elective courses for your second major.

Things to Remember
  • List all courses you are required to take for
    your major(s) EVEN IF you havent taken them yet.
  • Remember to pay the 25 Graduation Fee and to
    attach the receipt to your application.
  • Return application to Kasey Benson in Riverpoint
    343 or to Karen Morley in Kingston Hall 315.

If you have a major or minor from a different
department, you must take your application to
that dept. for a signature prior to returning it
to Karen Morley or Kasey Benson.
