Class Objectives

• 1. You will learn the required Civics curriculum
  standards set by the state of South Dakota (see
  me for exact requirements if interested).
• 2. You will build on your study skills, model a
  good work ethic and increase your knowledge base.

Class Grading

• Your grade will be determined by your
  performance on daily work/assignments, quizzes
  and tests. You will be required to take a
  semester test. Part of your daily work is based
  on your performance in the classroom and getting
  here on time. You will be penalized for not
  being respectful, unexcused absences and tardies.

• Test 50
• Daily Work 40
• Current Event 10

Classroom Policy

• All rules are based on showing proper respect
  and acting according to common sense. I do not
  mind having food in the classroom as long as you
  respect the classroom environment (although it
  should not be seen in the hallway areas). Cell
  phones should not interfere in any way with our
  learning process!

Class Expectations

• You are expected to be a positive example in
  this class. Completing the assigned work each
  day, staying organized and keeping good study
  habits will lead to success in this class!
