  detailed Master Plan for 2005-2007
• Monitoring and Evaluation Framework completed,
  and a Baseline Assessment for all Discovery
  Schools in underway for completion by December
  2005
• Integration Plan outlining JEI activities within
  the broader Ministry of Education reform process
  has been developed
• Joint Deployment Workgroup between Ministry of
  Education and the Initiative has been kicked off
  to oversee the Integrated JEI Master Plan
  implementation in Discovery Schools

• 100 Discovery Schools are fully networked,
  connected, and have access to computer labs and
  online curricula
• Different technology models currently being
  tested in a number of Discovery Schools

• Sign off and development guidelines in place
• Math Online deployed to all Discovery Schools.
  85 Discovery Schools were teaching Math Online by
  end of June school year
• Arabic Online, English as a Foreign Language
  Curriculum, and ICT Curriculum are being tested
  at varying stages in Discovery Schools
• Civics and Science Online are currently being
  developed for introduction in Discovery Schools

• Integrated proposal for training currently being
  developed in cooperation with ERfKE, Ministry of
  Education, and the various training partners
• Intel Teach to the Future, World Links, and CADER
  programs underway (Driven by Ministry of

• Partners exporting online curricula throughout
  the region
• Civitas for the development of the Civic
  Curriculum with Menhaj (MEPI Funded)
• CADER Providing Educational Strategist to
  support the JEI from the Delft University of
  Technology
• Student Technology Innovation Center (STIC) being
  used to pilot and showcase partner technologies
  and solutions

Track Updates Challenges on going activities

• Integrate models of evaluation into broader
  Ministry of Education assessment methodologies
  for continued assessment beyond the Initiatives
  duration
• Define capacity building requirements for the
  Ministry of Education needed to participate
  proactively with the Jordan Education Initiative
  and then later on to take over the national roll
  over
