• Teacher created lessons based on student interests

Community Partners

• South Fork Baptist Church (August November,
  2005) Saturday evening classes
• Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church (January
  present) Sunday afternoon classes
• Local agencies including a bank, public library,
  Mexican embassy, National Park Service, local
  museums, and community volunteers

we had to find a new home and partnership.

Next year

• Although we are not eligible for ESL Civics
  funds next year, we plan to continue using
  contextualized lessons based on student interests
  to help our students learn English and to
  acclimate to their new country.
