THE PROCESS
THE CONTENT
7
THE PROCESS
  • Who was involved in the development of the
    CSIP/SIP?
  • Was the CSIP adopted by the BOE or the SIP
    approved by District Administration?
  • Has progress been evaluated annually?

8
A DELICATE VENTURE
9
THE PROCESS IS ABOUT
  • Leadership -- Orchestrating Improvements
  • Creating the Future -- Intentionally
  • Forming a Vision - Identifying the Ideal
  • Identifying Actions That Will Help Us Attain the
    Ideal
  • Helping Others See the Connection Between the
    CSIP/SIP and Improved Student Performance
  • Inclusion -- There is Wisdom in the Counsel of
    Many
  • Fire Prevention, Not Fire Fighting

10
The Leadership Element
  • The great leaders of our time have been not only
effective operators and decision-makers, but also
people of vision who have had a marvelous sense
of what was possible, how to set and articulate
goals, and how to motivate their people to strive
successfully for these goals. Great leaders tend
to be great planners. Major General Perry
    Smith, USAF Retired

    other criterion referenced tests.
  • The goal will be measured through analysis of
student data from the Missouri Assessment program
and the districts standardized achievement tests.

Will the Plan Take Us Where We Want to Go?
  • Make no little plans they have no magic to stir
mens blood and probably themselves will not be
realized. Make big plans aim high in hope and
