- In the aftermath of HurricanesKatrina and Rita,
23 Cullmanpolice officers, working with
theAlabama EMA, were deployed to areas in
Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana in need of
assistance. Missions accomplished included - Shelter Operations

community band! The
Cullman Community Band is led by Mr.

city through softball/baseball tournaments and

Hurricane Creek Park now offers mountain biking,
rock climbing/repelling, hiking, camping, and
more!

Work is underway on the Cullman Area Field of
Miracles, a part of the Ingle Park
Expansion! The complex will have 3 fields, in
addition to the Miracle Field, specially designed
for people with disabilities to allow
opportunities to interact with other people and
to display abilities.

and the Cullman County Rescue Squad - Defensive driver training is important to the
safety of employees and citizens.

well-trained workforce keeps costs of insurance
claims and workmans compensation claims
down. Online refresher courses are now
available!

Last audit was excellent no findings. City in
good financial condition.
- REVENUE EXPENDITURES
- Sales tax up 5.9 over previous year.
- Both revenue and expenditures up approximately
one million dollars over previous year. - Increase in expenditures due to operating costs
and projects such as street work, museum
renovation, and preliminary work for other
planned capital projects. - City prepared a conservative budget based on
previous years revenue, not projected revenue.
Sales tax is crucial to the city and makes up
more than 1/2 of the general fund revenue.
Fluctuations in sales are hard to predict.
