Finance Act - 1 July 2007 allows a taxable person
to deduct VAT incurred on accommodation in
connection with the attendance or by his or her
representative at a qualifying
conference. Dublin Convention Bureau partners
with Tax Back International, a company designed
to inform and assist overseas companies in
maximising tax reclaim opportunities when
traveling to Dublin on business. Corporate event
organisers, agents or association buyers may be
entitled to reclaim the 21.5 tax on expenses
such as event costs, advertising costs,
promotional materials transport.
