Court is now in session!

• May the trial of King Henry Tudor VIII by the
  prosecution of the Catholic Church now commence.
  Henry is accused of the following offenses
• Excommunicating the Catholic Church from England
  unreasoned
• Misuse of power to execute spouses

Henry, what was your break from rome?

• Hello! Im Henry, you may know me as the one
  with six wives or the chubby one, but never
  the one who broke from Rome.
• I'm glad you asked, Your Honour. This Break From
  Rome was a turn of events which led to me
  breaking from the Catholic Church for
  Protestantism and my country following suit. This
  came about for many reasons, which Id like to
  split up into three Religious, Economic and
  Personal.

Firstly, PERSONAL!

• My principles did clash with the Catholic
  Churchs, inconveniently. As written in the rules
  of the Catholic Church, one can not divorce and
  remarry. But after years with Catherine of
  Aragon, she had not bore me a son and was no
  longer at the age to have any more children.
  However, I was desperate for a young man to carry
  on my work as King of England, so my only other
  option was to divorce Catherine for another wife
  who could bear me a son Anne Boleyn being the
  prime candidate. In the newly-formed
  Protestantism, it was acceptable to remarry!

And Religious?

• Im by all means a strong believer in
  Christianity, believe it or not. Before the
  Break, me and the Pope had good working
  relationships so much that he entitled me the
  Defender of the Faith! However, in the Catholic
  Church it was a sin to marry your brothers
  ex-wife, and I had married Catherine, my late
  brothers fiancée. It was said that I would be
  cursed if I did so I had already married
  Catherine so the only way to escape from the
  curse was to change religion and get away from it
  completely so I thought. And the goings-on at
  the head of the Church in Rome had recently been
  exposed and the new Protestant ideas which
  abandoned these made sense to me!

FINALLY, ECONOMIC!

• It was no secret that I was a big spender so
  much that I ran the country head-first into an
  economic crisis! I hated seeing money going to
  places which didnt benefit me one of the main
  culprits, taxes to Rome! They made me fork out
  thousands of the countrys money just to build
  St. Peters Basilica, but I wanted to build my
  own palaces and courts, and they werent coming
  cheap at my standards! So if I cut out
  Catholicism, I didnt owe Popey dear a single
  penny all the more for me!

It all came out of my own money!

So whats the verdict?

• Well, the court has understood and taken into his
  reasons for excommunicating the Catholic Church
  from England, and we have freed him of this
  charge. Also, he has given fair-reasoned points
  for overusing wives in his desperation for a son,
  so we declare Henry NOT guilty now test your
