A Pattern for the End of Sherlock Holmess
Stories

• SH anticipates the criminals plan of action and
  foes to the scene of the intended crime, or sets
  a trap for the suspect.
• SH, often with others, conducts a vigil at night
  or in a dark room for the
• arrival of the unknown person/criminal.
• Before and/or after the arrival, one or more
  printed or written word references will be made
  which evoke deviant sexuality linked to some form
  of drastic punishment.

• E. When the awaited person arrives, there is a
  reversal or confusion of sexes, either literally
  or verbally.
• F. A combat will follow in which SH overpowers
  the suspect when the person proves to be a
  woman, the combat is omitted and she usually goes
  unpunished.
• G. In every story, SH is the unquestioning,
  incorruptible guardian of the Victorian criminal
  and moral codes. As such his unvarying role is
  that of the detector, preventer, judge, and
  punisher of every larcenous or immoral act.
