- The Norwegian Photo Council estimates that
Norwegians will take approximately 1 Billion
digital images this year. - 60 of all Norwegian households now have a
digital camera. More than 400 000 digital cameras
were sold in Norway 2004, it has been estimated
by the Norwegian Photo Council that 500 000
digital cameras will be sold in Norway 2005. - Mobile phones with integrated cameras is a
new, important and challenging trend. Last year,
4 times more mobile phones than digital cameras
were sold in Norway.

- Our kiosk is part of our end-to-end
software solution, Netlife PhotoSuite. The
kiosk communicates with all common types
of digital media. The images are
transferred to the laboratory using the
shops local network or the Internet. - User friendly software

8Kiosk
Our kiosk communicates with all common types of
digital media.
9Shops without a digital minilab
Shops without digital minilabs may also use
Netlife PhotoCenter. The orders will be
transferred to a collaborating lab using the
Internet. The orders will then be produced and
returned to the original shop. Our current
customers could be used as collaborating labs.
Currently close to 300 shops are using our
software.

11Safety
The kiosk uses Linux as operating system Images
transferred via the Internet are preliminary
stored in a virtual safe placed in a submarine
bunker in Trondheim. 3 meter thick walls made of
concrete and solid firewalls protect Netlifes
servers against both physical and electronical
break-ins. All images are stored on two
independent servers. A third backup is stored on
tape and placed on a different location Back-up
of the orders are also automatically stored on
the kiosk.
