Many to Many Relationships
  • Example Tie many accounts to multiple
    opportunities
  • Create an Entity called Opportunity Accounts
  • Uncheck the Notes and Activities Options
  • Check the Make Available Offline
  • Create a Many to 1 Relationship between the
    Opportunity and Opportunity Account Entities
  • The Type of Behavior should be referential.
  • Create a second Many to 1 Relationship between
    Accounts and Opportunity Accounts
  • The Type of Behavior should be referential
  • Open form and add the Opportunity, and Account
    fields on the form
  • Publish your changes and away you go!

Tracking the Date Fields by Date, Month or Year
  • The Problem
  • Have you ever wanted to execute an advanced find
for all contacts who have birthdays this month?
What about contracts expiring next month? If you
have tried to do searches by a portion of a date
field, you probably know it doesnt work! Here
    is a workaround
  • Create a new attribute with the type of Picklist
on the entity desired. For demonstration purposes
we will use bdaymonth on the Contact entity.
  • Create values in the Picklist of January through
December (In order So January should be 1 and
December should be 12 in the list of values).
  • When you place the field on the form, click the
disable button so as not to allow for end user
    input.

16
Tracking by Date (cont.)
  • Place the following code on the OnChange of the
birthday field, which is on the contact form.

if (event.srcElement.DataValue)
crmForm.all.new_bdaymonth.DataValue
event.srcElement.DataValue.getMonth() 1 else
crmForm.all.new_bdaymonth.DataValue
null crmForm.all.new_bdaymonth.ForceSubmit
true

Document Storage on a record via IFrame
  • This is a cool enhancement if you use SharePoint
    for document management.
  • On any entity form, add a new tab called
Documentation. Add an IFrame (inline frame) to
display a dynamic URL SharePoint Web document
library page for that entity. (Typically account
    or contact).
  • The end user experience will be that they can
post new documents to this tab and it will seem
like they are saving the document to CRM when
they are actually saving documents to the
Document Library in SharePoint. It is one less
place an end user has to access to post and
    retrieve specific customer documents.
