establishing, running and closing of camps.
'HARDWARE' Technical standards and guidelines are
not part of CCCM

governance issues

Camp Management All activities within one camp
that include establishing camp governance and
community participation/ mobilization mechanisms
maintenance of camp infra-structure, data
collection and sharing, providing defined
services and monitoring the service delivery of
other providers in accordance with agreed
standards, in order to avoid the duplication of
activities and emergence of protection and
assistance gaps.

11Main Goals of CCCM are
- Improve living conditions, assistance to and
protection of IDPs in camps. - Effective common policy framework guiding
humanitarian actors. - Consistency and common standards applied in all
camps. - Secure humanitarian space and unhindered access
and delivery of humanitarian services. - Show added value of CCCM as a key sector which is
resourced with adequate staff and funding. - Organised closure and phase-out of camps upon IDP
return. - Mainstreaming of cross-cutting issues.
