Forms are created with an equal balance
of Gender Ability SEN AGT Behaviour
concerns. Concerns will be addressed within the
first 2 weeks of September.
5The School Planner
- To allow students, teachers, parents and carers
an opportunity to pass on information to each
other. - To record the homework that is set.
- To record rewards (merits) achieved.
- To have a record of important dates.
- To record activities in which student are
involved inside and outside School. - To support Personal Tutoring.

7Organisation
- Check homework daily and help to plan.
- Organise a homework routine.
- Discuss merits weekly.
- Sign planner every weekend.
- Respond to staff notes.
- Reiterate school standards as set out in the
planner.

10Anti Bullying Campaign ABC
- Child collects ABC form from tutor, or contacts
ABC via email. -
- Once the form is filled in tutor passes on the
information to Heads of Year and other tutors. - All children involved are put in contact with a
member of ABC. - Parents / Guardians are informed by phone call
from tutor / HOY - Persistent bullying will result in withdrawal
from breaks lunches, special privileges and
meeting with Key Stage 3 Guidance Team.
11If your child is ill..
- Your child can leave the lesson and go to the
medical room based in middle school. - Trudy Polehonski will inform home if it is
necessary to collect your child. - Make sure that your work details are updated.
12If you need to contact your child
- Telephone the school and leave a message with one
of the admin staff. - Admin will get pupil duty to take the message
directly to your childs class. - Please do not telephone pupils in lessons. Mobile
phones will be confiscated by staff and held in
admin.
13Contacting tutors / teachers
- All staff are accessible via the school email.
- Type in the staff initials in front of the email
address. - E.g vw_at_hinchbk.cambs.sch.uk
- Alternatively use the pupils planners.
14Our Aim
- Enable children to settle into secondary school.
- Ensure progression from Key Stage 2 to 3.
- Develop each individual to their full capability.
- Equip students with a sense of responsibility and
develop their self confidence.
