• Much is allocated for development, particularly
  in headwaters of our local streams.
• Helps prevent soil erosion.
• Regulates air and water temperatures.
• Reduces risks of local flooding.

What is CityScapes?

• Partnership with City of Fredericton, community
  representatives, and local schools.
• Goals ... to encourage individual property
  owners to manage their land in support of forest
  cover, wildlife habitat, riparian zone buffers
  and biodiversity, and to protect or improve water
  quality, flow, and fish habitat in streams
  flowing through Fredericton.
