- Our Befriendees under the Befriending Programme
- Age 65 and above, frail but ambulant
- Many on Public Assistance
- Mostly poor, illiterate, with no skills and
dialect speaking

- Many live either alone or with a spouse or a
partner in HDB 1-room or 2-room rented flat

16Recreational Activity
- To interact with the elderly in a group setting
- Need adult supervision for each activity.
- Activity can be a 2 hr fun and interaction
session. - Need to submit proposed activity 1 week prior to
event for approval. - Activities need not be restricted to block
parties, it can consist of outings, visits to the
school or special projects - Proposed duration of adoption 1yr. Review
evaluate at the end.
