learn internal control instead of relying on
external control.

Recommendations to Enhance NM Prevention Service
System
  • Additional coordination across service system
    including
  • Needs Assessment (Common use of data to determine
    priorities for services)
  • Capacity (Continue to enhance existing workforce
    development system, ie, certification,
    competencies, etc. )
  • Planning (All State and local partners need to
    develop and work off of a common strategic
    prevention plan)
  • Implementation (We need to better coordinate
    prevention funding to communities, ie coordinated
    RFPs, etc.)
  • Evaluation (We need to better coordinate our
    evaluation efforts, including common data
    systems)
