  • 3 hour 200 item multiple choice test
  • Computer terminals at 147 Pearson Vue
    Professional testing centres.

    Evidence based Clinical Practice-10 and Health

  • Three times a year

  • Feb, May and October. Initially in Croydon, later
    in a purpose built centre in London
  • Consulting room
  • 13 ten minute appointments
  • Primary care management, Problem solving skills,
    Person centred approach, comprehensive approach,
    Attitudinal aspects and clinical practical skills

  • Case-based Discussion (CBD)6 in ST1, 6 in ST2
    and 12 in ST3
  • Consultation Observation (COT) in primary careor
    Mini-CEX in secondary care6 in ST1, 6 in ST2 and
    12 in ST3
  • Direct Observation of Procedural Skills
    (DOPS)Until mandatory section of log complete
  • Evidence recorded through direct observation of
    the trainee by the trainer in primary care and
    Clinical Supervisors Reports (CSR) when in
    secondary care.
  • Multi-Source Feedback (MSF)Two cycles in both
    ST1 (clinicians only) and ST3 (clinicians and
    non-clinicians),with the option of repeating in
    ST2 if unsatisfactory in ST1  
  • Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire (PSQ)One
    cycle in ST1 or ST2, when in primary care, and
    one in ST3
