A healthy body grows and develops to its fullest
potential, recovers quickly from sickness and
injury, supports physical activity, and is
resistant to chronic diseases such as
cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and
cancer. Good nutrition and regular physical
activity are essential for developing and
maintaining a healthy body. Activities in this
component will help students develop the
knowledge and motivation to make healthy choices
