John This was largely a good assessment in which
you met all but one of the pcs and satisfied all
of the knowledge requirements. Your search
procedures, dynamic risk assessment and air
management were particularly good. Unfortunately
you did not carry out a correct donning and
starting procedure and so have not met the
required standard on this occasion. We will
arrange some additional training to address this
and then plan another assessment accordingly.

Ff Smith maintains his personal fitness levels by
regularly using the gym at RAF Littleness and
also by playing in Littleness 6-a-side football
league, which takes place every Wednesday. If he
feels that he is unable to meet the conditions of
his employment due to illness he makes sure that
I am informed at the earliest opportunity. John
has been in the trade for 24 years and
demonstrates his understanding of the importance
of health and Safety in the workplace e.g. if he
is a driver he always ensures there are 2
spotters when he is reversing the vehicle when
he is cleaning the bays he always places slip
hazard signs in appropriate places. To help
minimize damage to the environment John is
proactive in the Station re-cycling policy and
always encourages other s to take an active
role. When on shift and nominated as a driver
John will normally have to carry out routine
testing of the appliance and its equipment. These
tasks require safe working practices so as to
maintain operational capability a requirement
John ensures emphatically. Equally, all
equipment, manuals etc that John uses are always
returned to their proper location and any defects
and deficiencies are reported and recorded in the
correct format. John take an active role is his
career development and through the PDR process
has recognised additional skills that he requires
to take his career forward. He always operates
within his level of responsibility.
