Why do we have to PT?

• Raise Fitness Level, meet AFROTC and Air Force
  fitness standards
• Motivation
• Improve PT safety and efficiency within the wing
• To make sure we stay fit

PFD

• What is it?
• Physical Fitness Diagnostichuh?
• Why take it?
• Gauge where cadets stand
• Become familiar with testing process

PFD cont.

• What does it consist of?
• 1.5 mile run
• 1 minute of push-ups
• 1 minute of sit-ups

PFA

• What is it?
• Physical Fitness Assessment aka TEST!!!
• Consists of ALL the same elements of the PFD with
  the addition of a waist measurement.
• Height and Weight will also be recorded again

PFA cont.

• Overall score of 75 or better is required for
  contracted cadets
• Scoring
• 1.5 Mile run 50pts
• Waist Circumference 30 pts
• Push-up 10 pts
• Sit-ups 10 pts
• Failure will result in re-testing later in the
  semester

Change

• No longer the PFTjust PFA
• Final Scoring is composite, meaning from all the
  tests (run, push-ups, sit-ups, waist)
• This means that you no longer have to pass each
  test, but you must still achieve a 75 or higher.
