forming training groups prior to the events
  • Increase opportunities to sustain the levels of
involvement in active recreation through further
    group activities after the events
  • Provide Cancer Research UK with links to the
participants for the purpose of driving home our
    fundraising message

Case Studies
Jean Hanson from Slough used to watch people out
running and then see all the 'Race for Life'
signs around and just wish them well.  Never did
she think that one day she would be doing this
race for her mother. She raced for the first
time last year and is currently training for her
second race this year.
Tanya Cox found that running provided her with a
release when her husband was diagnosed with
Hodgkins disease. She says it helped helped her
not only to get fitter but gave her a mental
release from the trauma shed been through. She
has continued to run since taking part in Race
for Life.
