HV cable status

• Due to the complexity of the HF metallic
  structures the routing and support of cables has
  not been clearly established.
• The metallic structures were scheduled to
  arrive at CERN in September 04 allowing in situ
  assessment of cable pathways and measurement of
  cable lengths before launching HV cable
  production.
• We were not able to do this because of delays in
  delivery of the metallic structures to CERN.
• Cables lengths had been derived from CAD models,
  and cable production has been launched.
• Metallic structures had been delivered to CERN at
  the end of December and are now installed on HF1.
• At least 3 production cables have been sent to
  CERN for verification. Cables will be shipped as
  they are produced.
• HV cable approval will be started as soon as
  cable data sheets are made available.
• A technical note is being drafted (John H.)
  describing the HF HV system.
