of the year), the annual number of people killed
by tornadoes has declined, especially since 1940.

gefährdete Großstädte scheinen rot auf.

Tornadoes Downbursts in Österreich 2006
Alle registrierten Tornados in diesem Jahr sind
als rote Kreuze ersichtlich. Mögliche Tornados
scheinen als gelbe Kreuze auf (zumeist keine oder
nur wenige Daten) alleinige Downbursts in diesem
Jahr, die über 120km/h erreichten, sind als blaue
Kreise zu finden.

A tornadic thunderstorm in Steiermark
In den Abendstunden des 28. Juni 2006 zieht über
den Großraum Graz eine heftige Gewitterlinie, mit
vermutlich zwei eingelagerten, langlebigen
Mesozyklonen (auch am Dopplerradar als solche zu
erkennen) hinweg. Markante Sturmschäden treten
dabei gegen 1915h UTC bei der nördlichen Zelle
auf Downbursts bis F1/T3 Stärke sowie zwei
Tornadoverdachte ebenfalls im Bereich F1/T3 ev.
