6STRUCTURE
- Who are the moderators?
- There is a group of specialists already obtaining
andragogic and mentorship competencies. They have
skills to work in teams, but not too much to do
with the disability problems.
- 2. In-service program developing mentorship
competencies to work with the disabled (18 h.)
The group consistted of 15 participants 8
from the Social Work studies, 7 from Andragogy
studies. - ! The proposed duration is designed only for
contact meetings

- The day 1
- Self-evaluation and documentation of the
competencies (designing a Mentorship Portfolio) - Presentation (by the Moderator) the mentorship
roles, methods and means for the implementation - The day 2
- Setting up the model for the cooperation of the
team members in concrete situation (creation
the social enterprise and applying to the work
position) concrete steps and activity links,
common solution, who is who (roles
distribution) - Exchange of know-how and good practice
- The day 3
- Designing the real (hypotetic) support for
disabled people in the situation - Revision and supplementing of the portfolios.
8Cryteria for quality
- Proportion between practice and theory,
- Learning by doing (reflection),
- Competence based learning/teaching (motivation
values setting the goals)
9Evaluation of the seminar
- Objective To find out the effectiveness of the
seminar we used a questionnaire spread among the
participants - Method survey.
- Object 8 students from the Social Work studies,
7 students from Andragogy, participating in the
in-service training.
10Results of the survey
- 93,3 of participants evaluated the seminar as a
very useful event. - 6,7 pointed out that the seminar was party
useful but they had been looking forward to
having more practical approach.

16Survey of the experts
- There were 4 experts interviewed.
- They were introduced with the seminar material
and outcomes and asked to express their opinions
in the round-table discussions
17Statements of the experts
- There is no particular experience in mentorship
working with the disabled. - The issue is essential in the modern society.
- There is a great need to establish the in-service
training system concerning mentorship for the
disabled.
18- The mentor should work in a team with various
specialists when going for effectiveness and
quality. - The main purpose in the mentorship process - to
set and develop at least 3 levels of development
process in practice development of a disabled
person, development of a specialist from other
area (ex. medical) and development of himself as
a mentor.
