Who?

• designed for experienced professionals
• in a range of educational sectors
• primary, secondary, further, higher education,
• adult education and training
• minimum of three years professional experience
• honours degree (2.2 or higher)

What?

• Four taught modules (30 M CATS each) and
• dissertation (60 M CATS)
• Module 1 Formative assessment and assessment for
  learning
• Module 2 Summative assessment and assessment of
  learning
• Module 3 Foundation Research Methods
• Module 4 Issues in Assessment

What else?

• Modules 1, 2 and 4 can be taken singly as PG
  Awards for practitioners who do not want or need
  an MA
• Any 2 of the above can be combined to form a PG
  Certificate
• All 4 modules can be combined to form a PG Diploma

What links between MA and CIEA?

• Successful completion of any 2 of modules 1, 2
  and 4 entitles students to
• Associate Membership of the CIEA
• Successful completion of all 4 modules entitles
  students to full
• Membership of the CIEA
• Successful completion of the MA entitles students
  to
• Fellow status of the CIEA
• Students wishing to become
• Chartered Educational Assessors offered one
  to one support by University in preparation of
  portfolio which is independently assessed by CIEA

• Primarily intended as part-time course for
  practising professionals (available full-time in
  exceptional circumstances)
