Steps for Starting a School-wide Effort

• Establish a Behavior Support Team that has
• School/staff representation
• Building level status
• Regular protected meeting time
• Understanding of the PBS process

• Clarify need/problem
• PBS Survey
• Current discipline data
• Other data Test scores, Attendance, etc.
• Establish Staff Commitment
• Start with easier agreements
• Start SMALL
• Secure administrator support participation
• School Improvement Goal, 3-5 year commitment
