Eliminating Bias

• Changed the original format of the survey from
  fill-in-the-blank to
• circling the answer in order to make it easier
  to complete.
• Decided to make a paper copy rather than an
  online survey because by
• distributing them individually during class
  and picking them up afterwards,
• people wouldnt have to rely on their own
  initiative to complete
• the survey.
• Chose a Wednesday to administer the survey
  relying on the assumption
• that more people attend class in the middle of
  the week than on a Monday
• (right after the weekend) or a Friday (when
  people are eager to begin their
• weekend).
• Distributed our survey early on so that people
  wouldnt be burned out
• on survey taking by the time they received
  ours.
• Made sure we had enough copies and distributed
  them to everyone who
• was present that day in class so that everyone
  would have a chance to
• contribute to the study.
