• Assist divisions provide safety requirements

• Designate a Division Safety Officer

Employee Responsibilities

Risk Management

• Risk management is the process of identifying
  and controlling hazards in order to protect life
  and property. It is applicable to everything we
  do in our work environments. Our goal is to make
  risk management a routine part of planning and
  preparing for our division missions

Safety Accountability

• Accountability for unsafe conditions rests with
  the Division Director
• Employees are accountable for their unsafe
  behavior or unsafe acts
• Employees help divisions identify potential
  unsafe conditions
• Accidents involving unsafe behaviors and
  conditions may apply

• Required reports from divisions to TEEX
• Texas Workers Compensation Commission First
  Report of Injury or Illness (Appendix B)
